Celebrating One Year of O&M on the A Line

During its first year of operation, Denver’s University of Colorado A Line served more than 5 million passengers, provided over 52,000 train trips, and travelled more than 1.2 million miles, according to data published by the Regional Transit District. In addition, the line has exceeded the 90% standard for on-time performance since the start of 2017. The agency celebrated the one-year anniversary by handing out coffee and donuts at Denver Union Station, Peoria and Denver International Airport stations.

Valley Metro Rail Connects 220,000 Riders to Final Four Weekend Events

(PHOENIX, AZ ) – Getting to Final Four Phoenix weekend events was a slam dunk for locals, visitors and fans. Valley Metro Rail served over 220,000 riders between March 31 and April 2, a 68% increase compared with an average weekend. In addition to Final Four Fan Fest and March Madness Music Festival, riders chose Valley Metro Rail to connect to the Arizona Diamondbacks home opener, Phoenix Suns game, Phoenix Pride Festival and Tempe Festival of the Arts.

ACI Awarded New Five-Year Contract to Provide Transportation Services to Valley Metro Rail in Arizona

(Boston, MA) – ACI, one of the largest US-based providers of contracted passenger rail services in the United States, today announced that the Valley Metro Rail Board of Directors in Arizona approved a five-year contract, with one three-year and one two-year options to extend, for the provision of rail transportation services for a 26-mile light rail system.

Denver Commuter Rail Opens Second Line

The B Line between Union Station and Westminster is part of the Eagle P3 Project, the nation’s first full public-private partnership venture for new transit projects.

Denver Commuter Rail Opening

(Boston, MA) – ACI, one of the largest US-based providers of contracted passenger rail services in the United States, today announced that the new 23-mile commuter rail line between downtown Denver Union Station and Denver International Airport officially opened on Friday, April 22, 2016. The Colorado A-line service will be operated and maintained by Denver Transit Operators (DTO), a joint venture of ACI, Fluor and Balfour Beatty Rail, for the next 29 years.
